Systems Thinking
“In the most basic sense, a system is any group of interacting, interrelated, or interdependent parts that form a complex and unified whole that has a specific purpose.”
Do note the last 2 words. Every system needs to be able to solve a specific purpose that it was created for.
Now a system can either consists of various other micro-systems or can just be a macro one.
The human body is an example of a collection of systems working in sync with each other to keep us alive.
WHY do we create systems?
On a biological level(PKP vibes), we create systems to save energy. An organism’s main motives are to Survive and Multiply. It diverts this same energy to multiply.
We humans have the power to think. But is it really a necessary function of an organism? No.
Ironically, our brain hates thinking since it needs energy that can be utilized elsewhere. By creating systems, we make this process easier and faster.
How it’s helping me
I am a Notion fanatic. The tool just makes life so much easier. I used to save what I learn into pages and databases. It was very unorganized (it still is).
That’s when I was frantically searching for Notion templates and inspiration and systems to see what will work for me.
But the thing about all of this is, what works for others will not work for you. Their systems serve their own purpose and you will never find the right one.
Making a system takes a lot of time. Look at it as an investment and invest your time and energy into it.
Your system could be as simple as a Resonance Calendar or something very complex. It depends on you and how you use it.
I have been very conscious about what am consuming and will elaborate on how you can do the same in another edition.

This is the link to the template I managed to make. This is not my own creation. I copied this micro-system from August Bradley’s videos.
The template has some data already filled in to give you some idea about how to use it. Feel free to delete it and make it your own.
