I was traveling this week. Missed the flight and a whole lot of drama. Pretty hectic day.
This issue is going to be about learning skills and identifying what skills to learn. This is not my own original idea. These are from my notes from a Twitter thread that I cannot recall now.
Will keep this concise. Here we go!
C.U.E.S
C → Complementary
Learn skills that are complementary to each other. Learn 2-3 skills that support each other and help you grow.
Why strive to be the 1% of something when you can be at the top 25% of multiple? Not only does it open doors that are not visible to others but you attract an audience that is unique to you.
U → Unusual
Find a rare combination and try to excel in it. Locate a small and growing market that only a few people know of. Learn everything about it and then share it with the newbies.
E → Experiential
Most people underestimate what they know and what they think they know. You are unique and hence your specific skill can come from anything.
The events in your life influence you in ways that you cannot even think of.
S → Specific
Picking a niche might seem like a cliché word now but it is very important if you want to prosper. Pick out a niche topic and learn everything there is to learn about it.
The best way to showcase what you’ve learned is to publish things online. Blogs, Vlogs, Courses, and anything that shows your expertise to others.
